Meehan Moroney Solicitors is a leading legal firm in the Mid-West region. The practice was founded in July 2007 by Bridgette Meehan, Michael Moroney and Patrick Moroney as a successor to B. Meehan Solicitors which had previously operated since 1992. The practice has offices in Limerick City and Scariff, County Clare. During the intervening years the practice has grown incrementally to provide legal expertise in a large number of areas to our clients.

Meehan Moroney Solicitors act for clients on an ongoing basis in relation to all types of property transactions, including residential and commercial property purchases and sales, site and farm transfers, first registration applications in the Land Registry and property lettings.

We also advise in relation to all ancillary issues involves in such transactions, including taxation implications, as well as new legislative developments such as the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 and the Land and Conveyancing Reform Act 2009.

Meehan Moroney Solicitors has accumulated considerable experience in advising both employers and employees in relation to all issues that arise from the employment relationship. We offer advice in relation to Contracts of Employment and the proper drafting of same, the implementation of disciplinary, grievance, health and safety and other procedures in the workplace, employee rights pursuant to the relevant employment legislation and the implications of the employment relationship termination.

We have represented clients in the Employment Appeals Tribunal, Circuit Court and the High Court.

Meehan Moroney Solicitors has substantial experience and expertise in dealing with all types of family law issues. We represent clients on a regular basis in the District Court in relation to applications such as Access, Custody, Guardianship and Maintenance as well as applications pursuant to the Domestic Violence Act 1986.

We also represent clients in the Circuit Court and High Court in relation to Judicial Separation and Divorce applications and advise in relation to all issues that arise. We also advise in relation to Mediation and Separation Agreements as an alternative to a court application.

Meehan Moroney Solicitors represent clients in all areas of litigation, offering practical advice and progressing cases as expeditiously as possible. Particular areas of expertise under this heading include Personal Injury*, Construction disputes, Debt Collection, Medical Negligence, Defamation Law, Insurance Claims, Breach of Contract and litigation involving estates. We have represented clients in the District, Circuit, High and Supreme Courts in relation to various litigation cases.

We have expertise in the area of estate administration and the distribution of property and other assets. We also offer advice in such areas as Enduring Powers of Attorney and Wardship applications.

We can, as a result, offer a comprehensive service to notarise documentation, arrange for the apostille to be affixed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, or, where required, the consularisation of documents.

We provide Notary Services for individuals and businesses dealing with legal affairs in foreign jurisdictions, and we are in a position to advise in relation to the protocols of all Countries.
